The initiative runs from 3 to 12 July and brings together furniture donated by manufacturers from the region. All proceeds will support humanitarian work and the long-term sustainability of the local fire brigade.
36th Bazar do Móvel takes place in Rebordosa
Rebordosa, and particularly the Rebordosa Volunteer Firefighters Association, is hosting the 36th edition of the Bazar do Móvel. Having opened this Friday, the event runs until 12 July 2026 and stands as one of the region’s best-known and longest-running social solidarity initiatives. It is organised entirely by the Rebordosa Volunteer Firefighters Humanitarian Association.
Furniture donations support the Rebordosa fire brigade
At the heart of the Bazar do Móvel is a close partnership between the local business community and the public-interest cause it serves. Over recent months, furniture manufacturers from the area have joined forces to donate a wide range of furniture and decorative items to the fire brigade. These products will now be offered to the public in a sales exhibition at competitive, appealing prices, making the event an unmissable opportunity for anyone looking to refresh their home with quality pieces while also supporting a worthy cause.
For the Humanitarian Association, the income generated during the ten-day event provides a vital financial cushion. The money raised will go directly towards meeting the brigade’s high operating costs, helping to maintain and upgrade personal protective equipment, emergency vehicles and essential facilities needed to ensure the readiness and effectiveness of its day-to-day humanitarian response for local communities.
The organisers invite residents from across the region, as well as visitors from elsewhere in the country, to attend the event and discover first-hand the best that Rebordosa’s design and furniture sector has to offer, turning solidarity into practical support for the local fire brigade.
