Xiaomi has introduced a new smart-home device, the Smart Door Lock G100, which is now listed on the Youpin platform for roughly $160.

The lock uses a Class C cylinder with reinforced anti-tamper protection, opening sensors, and alerts when the door has been left ajar. Its AI-enabled fingerprint reader unlocks in 0.5 seconds with 99.29% accuracy, improving recognition over time. There are nine unlocking methods in total, including NFC, Bluetooth, passwords, and an emergency key.

Smart-home integration and data protection

A financial-grade security chip inside provides data encryption and protection against attacks. The lock works with HyperOS Connect and the Mijia app, enabling users to manage access and configure smart-home scenarios.

Battery life and emergency power

The device can run for up to 12 months on four AA batteries, while a USB-C port is provided for emergency power.
